Susan Tyler BACP, UKCP, FPC and DIT practitioner accredited with BPC

I’m an experienced psychotherapist working in a clinic I co founded London as well as in Brighton. I have practised for many years as a psychotherapist in a charity setting at the Rock Clinic in Brighton.

You may need help to cope with anxiety and depressed feelings. Counselling and psychotherapy can be invaluable in making sense of your confusion and emotional states. Sometimes we can get stuck in unhelpful patterns that are hard to untangle alone. I can help you find ways to manage your difficulties in a way that works for you.

I am psychodynamically trained which means I work with people on either a long term, open ended basis or for an agreed time period. I work either once weekly or more intensively using more sessions per week. We look broadly into your problems, taking into consideration your personality as a whole as well as your upbringing and significant life events. This can enable deeper change so that you can live as freely and creatively as possible.

I am an accredited practitioner of Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy whic is a short term structured model of working that can be very helpful as a focus. I use 6-20 sessions with the aim of changing long standing patterns of relating that contribute to anxiety and depression. My aim is to help you find a way to live with yourself and your relationships.

Whether you’re anxious, low in mood, overwhelmed by strong feelings, struggling with relationships or perhaps trying to cope with change and loss, talking therapies can help alleviate these and other concerns.
